My Illustrious Career ... So Far
My educational and professional experience has centered on
effective communication. After graduating from the University of
Missouri-Columbia School of Journalism, I worked in editorial capacities at
newspapers and magazines. My greatest joy came from helping other writers
develop their ideas, explore all sides of the story, and find the right voice
to communicate their message.
This experience led me to teaching—at the high school level (Junior English, newspaper and yearbook) and then as an adjunct instructor at Colorado State University (news writing and online journalism). Currently, I reach out to educators as marketing editor/writer for Voyager Sopris Learning, a publisher of K-12 educational materials located in Longmont, CO.
My career goal is to identify and master the tools that are most applicable to creating relevant communication that stimulates learning and exploration within our technology-rich environment. Please check out my full resume below.
